Boys Club
What Boys Need?
Boys need to be boys, and they need more as well:
- Boys need to forgive and be forgiven,
- Boys need freedom and discipline,
- Boys need encouragement and correction,
- Boys need friendship and mentoring,
- Boys need laughter and times of great sobriety,
- Boys need to dream and be realistic,
- Boys need opportunity and accountability,
- Boys need to be good examples and have good examples,
- Boys need to strengthen their bodies and sharpen their minds,
- Boys need lots of compassion and tough-love at times,
- Boys need to ask questions and listen carefully to the answers given,
- Boys need to belong to a caring group of peers and a God honoring church,
- Boys need to give to the needy and pray to the Lord,
- Boys need to laugh at themselves and always take sin seriously,
- Boys need to discover who they are and discern the Presence of God,
- Boys need to respect one another and respect God's Word as the one standard for faith and conduct,
- Boys need to find their worth in the price Christ paid at the Cross for their redemption from sin and death,
- Boys need God-fearing parents in whom they will see Christ and trust Him as their own Lord and Savior.
At Emmanuel Bible Church, we invite boys from the ages of 4 to 10 whose parents
see a need for their sons to have a safe place to enjoy good fun in the context
of Christian love and learning.
The Boys Club typically meets every Friday from 7:00pm to 8:30pm 1.
