Emmanuel Bible Church gathers every Sunday morning to worship the Triune God of the Scriptures. We are marked by a reverent yet joyful worship of our God.
Elements of Worship
We believe that we have been saved by God to worship him and delight in who he is. We believe that we cannot worship God as we see fit, but need to worship him as he has told us to do in his word. Therefore, our service is characterized by faithfulness to and delight in the ordinary means of grace. We sing, read, pray, look upon (through the sacraments/ordinances), and preach the word throughout our time together. Specifically, we aim to sing songs that are theologically rich from the past and present and we preach sermons that are expositional in nature, seeking to expose the meaning of God’s word for the purpose of applying it to our every-day lives. Currently, we celebrate the Lord’s Supper during our main gathering on the first Sunday of every month.
Children in Worship
We gladly welcome children in our gathering and are not flustered by the rustling or whimpering of children during our worship. We think there is no better place for our children to be than in the gathering of Christ’s people and under the faith-giving ministry of God’s word!
We also completely understand that families have varying needs that may make this harder on some than others. We offer a few options for our children during the worship service as a help to our parents. We have:
A nursery for ages 0 to 2 years old
A children’s Bible program, called Second Hour, for pre-K (3- and 4-years-olds) to 1st grade
A sermon preparation class for 2nd to 3rd graders on every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month during the main gathering’s sermon
No matter your stage in life, at EBC, we desire for you to feel warmly welcomed in our gathering. We would love for you to join us for worship and see what deep joy we have in our God because of the glorious gospel of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
